A Word from the Past President It is my pleasure to report to you that the 9th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry, 28 June – 2 July 2009 in Paris has been a major success. It was a truly international event with over 4000 participants from 97 countries, from all 5 continents. This is an outstanding result which clearly demonstrates the world-wide aim of the WFSBP.
