January Issue N°1 |
2009 was a very important and successful year for our society. The Paris world meeting was very well attended and the scientific level was excellent, thanks to all of you for your active participation. During the Paris world meeting, a new executive committee has been elected to run the federation for the next 4 years. We renegotiated our contract with the publisher in order to increase the number of volumes of the World Journal of Biological Psychiatry to 8 per year and we appointed Prof Kasper as the new Editor in Chief of our journal. The next step will be the reorganization of our task forces which are in charge of the guidelines, a crucial way of increasing the WSFBP notoriety. Our next world meeting will be held in Prague from 29th May to 2nd June 2011. A website dedicated to this meeting was set up and the first announcement was already sent. We strongly encourage our members to submit proposals for symposia via the website before 25th January 2010. I wish you and your family a very happy and prosperous new year 2010.
