Dear Presidents, Dear Members,

Our next World Congress will be held in Prague from 29 May to 2 June 2011. The call for abstracts for free communications and posters is open (the congress website adress is www.wfsbp-congress.org). The scientific program will reflect the recent developments and state of the art in psychiatry and biological psychiatry and it will give insights into the newest innovations in the field and their impact on diagnoses, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders.  The WFSBP newly revised guidelines will also be presented. The following awards will be delivered during the WFSBP 2011 Prague congress: WFSBP Lifetime Achievement Award, WFSBP Research Prize, WFSBP Award for Excellence in Education. You will find the description of the awards and the application forms on the congress website. Our WFSBP Price committee will select the winners among the applications received.

The following endorsed meetings will be organised by our national societies:

Palanga Lithuania: VI Baltic symposium of Biological Psychiatry on Paraphilias and sexual abuse 23-24 April 2010. The new WFSBP guidelines about pharmacological treatment of paraphilias will be presented.  Information: http://www.pri.kmu.lt/Konferencija_angl.htm.

Berlin Germany: IIIrd meeting of Western European Societies of Biological Psychiatry “Personalised medicine in psychiatry: from dreams to reality” 2-4 June 2010. A joint meeting of the Belgian, French, German, Swiss and Austrian National Societies of Biological Psychiatry.
