Dear Members, Dear Distinguished colleagues, The 9th Congress of Biological Psychiatry was held in Paris from 28 June to 2nd July 2009 hosted by the French Society for Biological Psychiatry (AFPB). It was a real success with more than 4.000 participants from 97 countries. The scientific sessions were very well attended. I would like to thank all the colleagues who made this congress possible by bringing their talent and generously giving their time for lectures, symposia, oral communications and posters. I take also this opportunity to thank the audience for their active participation during this scientific meeting. Our next meeting will be held in Prague hosted by the Czech Society for Biological Psychiatry from 29 May to 3 June 2011 and I very much look forward to seeing you in Prague. The elections of the new executive committee of the WFSBP took place during the Paris meeting. I would like to thank all the presidents of the national societies for their deep involvement in the WFSBP and I would like also to thank all members that contributed actively to our committees and task forces during the last years. I hope that, during the next 4 years, you will further increase your participation in our federation activities and I ask the presidents to send names of members for the new committees of the WFSBP. We will be happy to receive your feedback and suggestions for new committees before the end of August. We will also ask you soon to send proposals for symposia for our next world Prague meeting. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Prof Florence Thibaut, President |
